Backbeat Studio is situated in Bramming in Vestjylland, Denmark. It was started in 1992 and have since produced high quality MIDI music.

From the very beginning Backbeat Studio has concentrated on making MIDI files in the Roland GS format, because this format ensures the best editing options and compatibility across sound devices. This way the Backbeat Studio MIDI files will always sound correct, no matter which GS instrument or sound module is used for play back.

The goal for Backbeat Studio has always been to make their synonymous with top pro quality in music and sound. Backbeat does not buy their music from third parities, but records and programs each file by themselves. They want to make sure that no file leaves the studio without proper checking and polishing.

Backbeat Studio was among the first companies to produce SMF disks for Roland SC-88.

Backbeat Studio Files are sold in more than ten countries around the world.
